Almazaras de la Subbética, a first-grade agricultural cooperative, was created in July 2007 as a result of the merger of two prestigious and experienced cooperatives: S.C.A. Virgen del Castillo and S.C.A. Olivarera Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, both with more than 60 years of experience in the sector. In 2020, the Cooperativa Agrícola de Rute S.C.A joined the group, continuing the legacy of traditional olive groves within the Natural Park of the Sierras Subbéticas. Thus, more than 7,000 family members who are members of Almazaras de la Subbética today joined the group.
Almazaras de la Subbética has been working since its inception for a set of values. We believe that it is really important to strive for the maximum quality of our products, respect for the farmer, the satisfaction of our customers, the care of the environment, and actively collaborating with the most disadvantaged sectors of society, these are some of the actions that our team carries out daily and with which our cooperative is increasingly identified.

Almazaras de la Subbética is located in the Natural Park of Sierras Subbéticas, a protected cultivation area declared of environmental interest.
Our farmers have managed to overcome the obstacles of the rugged topography of their plantations and the higher costs of cultivation and harvesting. With the modernization of cultivation techniques and the use of small and modern machinery, they have adapted tradition and technology to the high quality standards demanded by the most demanding consumers.
The olive tree is the genesis of all our activity as an oil mill, that’s why we believe that it is essential to take care of the process from the beginning, with sustainable techniques for the environment that protect the biodiversity and landscape richness of the surroundings.
All the people who are part of Almazaras de la Subbética feel a true connection with this Mediterranean tree, which year after year gives us its best fruits.

More than 32,000 hectares with added value: the guarantee of quality that supports a simply exceptional oil. Having a DO that endorses our effort and recognizes a daily commitment, makes us continue working to always bring maximum quality to each of our oils.

Almazaras de la Subbética has designed different blends of its juices to meet all the needs of industries and users. Specific designs for different culinary pairings and uses in raw, specific products for their needs as preservatives (fish preserves, cheeses, etc.), for food processing (snack frying, marinades, confits, sautés, infusions, etc.), for use in beauty and pharmacy (skin creams, dietary supplements, etc.), or for supplements with outstanding nutritional factors (polyphenols, squalene, etc.).
Prestigious companies such as Patatas fritas San Nicasio, Conservas Codesa, La Tortilla de Senén, Foie-Good, Chocolate Organiko, Eurosalmón, Quesería el Palancar, or Excelvit use the specific design of these oils made for them according to their needs.

Our commitment to solidarity and helping others through “Botellas con Alma”.
Almazaras de la Subbética has also found time for social initiatives, including a very special one. Within the Botellas con Alma project (based on solidarity, where value is added with part of the sales of high-quality bottled oils, of which four euros per bottle are donated to non-profit associations to finance part of their projects), they are currently supporting the Sonrisas sin Cáncer association’s project to purchase a bioreactor for advanced therapies at the La Paz University Hospital.
