Happy Andaluc\u00eda Day! The Olive Tree and EVOO, the Soul of Our Land and Culture<\/h1>\n

Today we celebrate what we are: the land that produces the best olive oil in the world for the ninth consecutive year.<\/b><\/h2>\n

Just saying the words ‘February 28’ brings to the memory of any Andalusian the sweet flutes of childhood singing the Andaluc\u00eda anthem in every school. First of all\u2026 <\/span>Happy Andaluc\u00eda Day! <\/b>To all Andalusians, both those who are outside their land and those who have the great privilege of living in it every day. <\/span><\/p>\n

A particularly significant date for our<\/span> Almazaras de la Subb\u00e9tica<\/span><\/a>, since our soul, our roots, and our most treasured gem are located in Carcabuey, C\u00f3rdoba, in the heart of the <\/span>Sierras Subb\u00e9ticas Natural Park<\/span><\/a>. Today we celebrate what we are, our land, our customs, and of course, our gastronomy. <\/span><\/p>\n

And we do so by focusing on that symbol of our land that goes beyond being just a tree. We\u2019re talking about the olive tree, the true protagonist of our history, our gastronomic wealth, and our economy. And of course! Our extra virgin olive oil, that liquid gold that never misses from our tables!<\/span><\/p>\n

How imposing, how beautiful. You think you admire it, but it\u2019s the olive tree that has been watching us and accompanying us for centuries. This tree, which grows in land as warm as ours, has witnessed many stories, many generations, and has provided food, but above all, identity. The Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs already adored it and cultivated it, making it a key piece of Mediterranean culture. <\/span><\/p>\n

Olive groves cover thousands of hectares in Andalusia, and it’s impossible not to see them when walking through our fields. They are like a part of the landscape, like the soul of our land. <\/span><\/p>\n

If there\u2019s one thing that makes us proud of our land, it\u2019s undoubtedly extra virgin olive oil. This treasure that comes from the olives of our olive groves is much more than an ingredient: it\u2019s a tradition, an art, it\u2019s our identity.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s no coincidence that Andalusia is the <\/span>world’s largest producer of olive oil<\/b>. More than half of the world\u2019s production comes from our fields. It proudly carries the name of its motherland to every corner of the world. <\/span><\/p>\n

And if Andalusia leads the world, Almazaras de la Subb\u00e9tica plays a key role in this leadership. Recently, the Spanish Confederation of Social Economy Business placed us in the <\/span>second position<\/b> of the most relevant cooperatives in our country in its report<\/span> ‘The Most Relevant Companies in Social Economy<\/a>‘<\/span>. In fact, 8 of the top 100 positions are held by cooperatives linked to olive growing. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to the <\/span>EVOO World Ranking<\/span><\/a>, our most iconic oil, <\/span>Rinc\u00f3n de la Subb\u00e9tica<\/b>, has been crowned the <\/span>Best EVOO in the World in 2025<\/b>. And this is <\/span>the ninth consecutive year<\/b> that our oils have achieved the coveted first place. <\/span><\/p>\n
